FAQ

PPF and tint questions

What is paint protection film?

PPF is a clear or tinted urethane film that goes over the paint and takes the chips, scratches and brush marks instead of the paint.

Full-front or full-vehicle PPF?

Full-front covers the hood, bumper, fenders and mirrors, where most chips happen on the road. Full-vehicle adds the doors, rockers and bed sides, which matters if the truck goes off road.

Can PPF go over a wrap?

Yes. We've done full color change wraps with PPF over them to protect the wrap.

Can I get a satin or matte look with PPF?

Yes. Satin and matte film change the finish of factory gloss paint while protecting it.

How dark can I tint my windows?

There are rules on how dark front windows can go. We'll go over film and darkness options with you before we start.

Can you do PPF and tint while other work is done?

Yes. PPF and tint can go on while the truck is here for suspension, wheels or lighting, so it's all done in one visit.

Do you do PPF on new trucks only?

No. Film can go on any truck with paint in good shape. Chips and scratches should be dealt with first, because film shows what's under it.

How much does PPF or tint cost?

It depends on the truck and the coverage. Call with your truck and what you want covered, and we'll quote it.
